Another Chapter Unfolds

"You are always a student, never a master. You have to keep moving forward"

Life is no fun without the challenges in life. It’s like walking along in the sweltering and plain dessert. Just like in terms of studies, would we able to learn if there are no challenges waiting for us? June 2 2014, marks the date of the beginning of my senior life. And this is how my story for the first quarter unfolds.

Life being a senior student is a lot harder than what I expected it to be. I thought it would be just easy as one, two and three. Being a 4th year high school student is no easy task, you need to be more serious in life and in your studies. During the 1st quarter, many questions popped into my head? Like “What if I don’t overcome these challenges?” I felt pressured during the 1st quarter. But my conscience told me that I can do it. I learned different things, especially on how to make blogs. I was excited when I heard that for the 1st quarter we will be tackling about blogs. It was very interesting lesson for us, were able to make our 1st post and so on. In my journey, I was not able to escape the ‘problems’. Sometimes I’m out of the class or I was excused, I need to cope up with what they have done for that day. But with the help of my family slash classmates, I was able to finish my undone works. No man is an island indeed. And today, I am thankful for those problems that showered upon me because if there was none, I would not be the person I am today.

Moving on...

Hoooooooray! I was able to overcome all the challenges for the 1st quarter. Thank you for  carrying me all the way Lord. It was a very fun and challenging journey for me, but sad to say, 1 out of 4 of the piece of the pie is now gone. Only 3 more grading periods left, I need to strive harder for me to reach my goals in life. And that is the end of my story for the 1st quarter.

END

One for All, All for One!

July 28, 2014, marks the very indelible story of the Philippines, the 5th State of the Nation Address by our very indulgent and dynamic President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino. During the whole State of the Nation Address, different accomplishments and another blueprint foar our brighter future begins.

One of the sentences that made my heart, mind and soul become alive again is that “The Filipino is worth dying for, the Filipino is worth living for, and the Filipino is worth fighting for.” I indeed agree with this, because every Filipino has the right and responsibility in this country. Philippines was one of the most riches country in the entire world during the time of Marcos, but what happened today? As PNoy said in his State of the Nation Address, the Philippines is in sank deep because of dirty politics. Why did this happen? Why did PNoy let this happen? The trust, the confidence of the people are now vanished. PNoy should have way done better than this. But on the other hand, he is also a human, not perfect. As he said, he is like watching a 200 TV Channel at the same time. We should also think about the positive sides that he have done for our country. For example, the DAP or Disbursement Acceleration Program, he contributed Php1.6 billion for the TESDA’s Training for Work Scholarship Program. Within the 223,615 beneficiaries there were 66% or 146,731 who graduated and today have a stable job. As a young citizen of this country, I am indeed proud of our president for his accomplishments. But I learned that he must also help the one who have holes in their pockets, or should I say the people who re really in need of jobs and shelter. As he said, "We are striving to ensure that all who crossed the poverty line will never go back." I salute you PNoy.

On the last part of his State of the Nation Address, he stated that, we, his boss our the one behind the transformation of all the positive changes, the Filipino is headed towards the rightful destination. as one say, one for all, all for one! and that ends the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino. It was definitely the Filipino is worth fighting for.
