of the most awaited festivals in Ilocos Sur is the Kannawidan. As we all know,
Ilocos Sur has a rich and unique traditions culture among other provinces.
Ilocos Sur is also said to be one of the well preserved province in the
country. A unique culture preserved for the next generations to see and feel
what it’s like to live in Ilocos Sur.
And as a commemoration for this
traditions and cultures, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived on
how they will showcase the cultures and traditions of Ilocos Sur into one
package, not only for the Ilocano’s but also for the entire tourist, local or
foreign. And so they came up with the Kannawidan
Ylocos Festival.
The
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is a feast that opens the eyes for every Filipino to
se the preserved and stunning cultures, costumes and traditions of the
Ilocanos. And this year 2015, the Kannnawidan Ylocos Festival has officially
started.
Last
January 30, 2015 was the opening of the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival 2015 held at
Quirino Stadium. The opening ritual and other exhibits were presented. And of
course the Kannawidan wouldn’t be complete without the trade fair, were the
different towns of Ilocos Sur comes together and showcase their OTOP (One Town,
One Product). But not only the products that make Ilocos Sur stand out among
the rest, but also for the well known personalities. Just like, Diego Silang,
Padre Jose Burgos and others. A trip to a picturesque province is a scene worth
dreaming of. The Kannawidan Festival is worth being proud of because the
talents of every Ilocano are starting their journey to shine. Their creativity and talented minds of every
Ilocano is just astonishing.

the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival 2015 is worth seeing for. We can explore and
